differential cover cross reference

The cover on my 1929 Chrysler 75 has some damage due to past ring gear failure. Of the 1929 models, there were two sizes with the 75 and Imperial being the larger. The cover of the 65, Desoto and Plymouth are smaller.

Is there a cross-reference for covers on other vehicles? I drive this car and thoroughly enjoy driving it. I have re-gasketed it but get unacceptably large leakage. CVant find anything on the internet.

I haven't been on for a while so I apologize for the late response. If you are still looking for the differential cover and haven't talked to Jay Astheimer, I suggest you give him a call. He specializes in in early Chryslers and has helped me with many parts for my 1929 model 75 roadster. His number is 610 863 6955.

My Dodge DC diff. cover had a hole in it from a broken crown wheel bolt and it was distorted. I fixed the hole and straightened it onto a steel plate.

Also check the threads on the cover bolts. Oil can leak out of them.
