The year 1955 was the last year for salesman factsbooks with a pocket for paint chips - so the 1956 didn't have it.

In 1942, the paint chips were part of the book itself, see picture.

The other books I have come without the paint chips. The color chips are very hard to find. There is a one for 1953 on eBay right now:

Highest bid is 153.50 USD (a few hours left to auction end) - thats higher than what I'm asking for a book...

Hopefully, the eBay buyer won't be too :( after spending that kind of money when he finds out that there was a SECOND EDITION for 1953 Buick colors that deleted the discontinued colors and included the added new colors as of May 1953.
