john2dameron
I read the March/April Antique Automobile magazine today for the second time and noticed that among the awards given at the annual meeting was a Foo-Dog Award. Now I'm curious. What does the Foo-Dog award represent?
Pete O
The Foo-Dog TrophyOutstanding Rolls-Royce automobile entered in a National Meet judged on the basis of age, style and quality of coachwork, authenticity, appearance and mechanical condition. Established in 1945 by former AACA President, D. Cameron Peck. The trophy itself is an ancient and valuable Chinese work of art.http://www.aaca.org/Publications/national-awards-2.html
john2dameron
Pete O. Thank you for the reply. I had found info that Foo-Dog was a mythical Chinese lion-dog type of animal but could not determine a relationship to an AACA trophy.
