1957 Buick Rear Bumper end - DRIVERS SIDE

I am in need of a decent driver's side rear bumper end for a 1957 Buick. It does not have to be show quality, but look decent/able to fix up. (Metal backing not totally gone)

I know these are hard to come by, but I figured it was worth a try.

I am mainly in need of a driver's side, but If you have both/only passenger please don't hesitate to let me know!

Aren't the Special-Century bumper ends different

from the Super-Roadmaster bumper ends?

are the same for all series; it is only the center portion of

the rear bumper that differs.]

Years ago (1980's or early 1990's), Rick Shnitzler from Narberth, Penna.

was reproducing those bumper ends, casting them in aluminum.

He also sold car literature. I don't know whether he's still around,

or whether he could be contacted. Maybe he still has the molds!

Perhaps the BCA's technical advisor for 1957 cars--or anyone else--

has more information.

The ends are the same on all series; only the centers are different.

I would not recommend an aluminum bumper end. Not only is it very soft, but it corrodes extremely easily and I'm not sure how well copper/chrome would adhere. I would weld up a spotty steel one any day before I did this.
