'65 Full Suspension Rebuild

Planning to rebuild the front and rear suspension on my '65 (w/AC). Here's what I have in mind so far:

1. Set of KYB Shocks from Lionel in Atlanta already on order. (Already researched all the threads on this and I gather: They WILL fit, they're a slightly smoother ride than a set of Monroe's and only about $60 more)

2. Moog 5030 Front Coil Springs. (From previous threads: sounds like they work just fine and they're reasonably priced)

3. Coil Spring Specialists Rear Coil Springs (other than CSS and OPGI, no one seems to stock or build a set that will work am I right?)

4. Does anyone have experience with this Old Parts Source Front Suspension Rebuild Kit? (http://www.ebay.com/itm/191536276575?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT) This is what I really need some input on.

5. Can anyone recommend a specific rear bushing set? (The price range on available makes of these seems extremely wide and I'm not sure why)

Any other input or ideas on how to go about this are welcome.

In response to Line Item #4, I found a front end rebuild kit at PST (Performance Suspension Technology) that had all the items in the kit you linked and included the INNER tie rod ends, sleeves, end links and other small items. It was priced under $500 and everything fit perfectly. It was not shown in their catalog but was listed on their website.

I bought front KYB's for my car and they didn't fit. The lower T-bar was too short. I

am working with a KYB rep right now to see if I can get them to make the shocks correctly. I might

have been able to rig up the attachment somehow but I didn't want to have to do that, choosing to

work with a KYB rep to get the design changed. I'll let everyone know what happens on this.

You might want to contact the seller and ask, specifically, what manufacturer's name, if any, is on the boxes.

I bought a similar kit from a national old car supplier for a 1965 Electra I had. All the parts were in generic blank boxes and the castings and machine work were not the same quality as most replacement parts.

I remember that one castellated nut was so poorly made it slid over the threads of the ball joint stud. I used the original.

Its an easy question I always ask now "What is the manufacturer's name on the box?" "I think" or "it should be" are incorrect answers.
