1926 or 27 Marmon 6 cylinder engine

Hello to all.

I have been asked to help sell a Marmon 6 engine.I was told it was either a 1926 or 27,has a aluminum crankcase and the head has plugs on both sides.It has been stored indoors for many years but I have not seen it yet so I cannot give a full description or add pictures at this time.

Sorry to make this look and sound like a "fishing expedition" but I know nothing about these engines and wanted to ask here to gauge interest and find out what I should look for when I do go look at it and get pictures.

The engine came from a boat and did turn over but that was a while ago.I cannot say what it may need to make it a running engine.

The owner has not discussed a price yet but understands this is not a V-12 or a V-16. I hope to get pictures this weekend and as I said I want to know what to look for when I go.
