I, recently, picked this up.

Is this a DODGE horn Button ?

If so, which years ?

It seems to be stainless steel.

It is about 3" in diameter.

The attaching tabs are intact.

It will be available.

Thank you,

mikeburch

Definately '36 but may also fit '35-'37. I think they are nickle plated brass stampings. It would have been painted black with the raised lines buffed off to reveal the nickle plate. I think the button itself is standard for Dodge, Plymouth and DeSoto models of cars and trucks at the time with interchangeable caps.

On one my '36 button caps, which is badly deteriorated , you clearly see the brass. On a Plymouth cover , you can see the brass under voids in the plating on the underneath side of the cover, also you can pick up the brass where the tabs have been broken off. There could have been some stainless caps made but I think most where brass stampings. All where painted over after plating.

Mine is, most definately, stainless.

It is in better condition, than the photo shows. The sun was bright and coming in at an angle. The worse places are actually shadows. If anyone needs this, I can get a better photo.

Thank you,
