Guest puceriver
Does anyone know where to buy a new sending unit for a 65 with ac? Have tank out for 4th time, tired of trying to fix old one. Thanks
steelman
I bought a stainless one off evil bay a couple years ago. Try there. A 65 is different than a 63, so beware of one that says it fits 63-65, as they are different.

bb1970
I have a new sending unit I bought from E-bay. Upon installation. I realized the float had fallen off of my original sending unit. So my sender was fine. I never installed the new stainless unit. It has sat in the box for nearly two years. If memory serves. I gave around $85 plus shipping. If you want this one. I'll go $75 plus shipping. Pm me an address if you are interested. I'll get a cost to Ontario. Or my zip code is 64016. If you want to try to figure out shipping. Good luck, Bill Edited March 2, 2015 by bb1970 (see edit history)

RivNut
Bill,Or anyone else. Do you know if the '64 sending unit is the same as a '65 or is the '64 the same as a '63. Somewhere in there, Buick changed the resistance of the sender from 45 to 90. If the '64 is the same as the '65, I'm interested in your sender.Ed
bb1970
Ed, I think the '65 is 90 ohm's. 63-64 are 45 ohms. Not positive though. Maybe some one else will know for sure. Bill Edited March 2, 2015 by bb1970 (see edit history)

steelman
Ed, based on limited research, 63 and 64 seem to be the same. Based on that, the 65 unit would not work.
RivNut
I'm guessing that I could drop the tank and measure the resistant of the sender. ?????
