HistoryBuff
Sad news that Doug Magnon, only 53, died in Riverside earlier this month of cancer. Doug, who was in business with his father in building business parks, started a museum in Riverside a few years ago. Originally it was to be a Maserati museum but soon others who like to remember Riverside Raceway were successful in having him expand the displays to include all of the marques that once graced the track. Doug was also a master chef and running an Italian restaurant owned by his family. I hope the Museum continues to honor his dream and I wish I would have visited more often, as I am in Riverside once a week
8E45E
Sorry to hear this! Too bad some diseases such as this consume many of us far too early in life. Hopefully, either his father if he is still alive and well, or if his kids can carry on the torch and keep the museum operational.Craig
