1917businesscar
I've been told this truck is original and also been told I just have a bunch of parts. The truck was complete when I got it and the owner said he bought it in 1924 and used it till 1933 when he bought a new truck. The frame and floor id tag is 168389 production date around July 10 1917. The cab numbers on the firewall are 38843 so this cab does not fit with the frame. Engine, trans and rear end numbers are close to frame number. Can anyone tell me where the cab came from or who built it. Thanks JAG
nearchoclatetown
Can you post some pictures? Of entire truck, cab, and dash? Engine number should be about 50,000 higher then serial number.

1917businesscar
The truck didn't have the screens on it, a year later I'm starting to find out more about the truck and asked the owner it the truck ever had side screens. He told me yes and didn't like them because he had to load only from the back (he sold milk out of the truck) This was a dairy farm and they never got rid of anything. In the horse shoe shed on the walls were 4 screens they used to hang the horse shoes.
Bob Scafani
The truck looks pretty original. The headlights are later and the wheels are later. The cab firewall numbers did not correspond to any production sequence. The cab is probably the original cab for the truck.
dwollam
As Bob said, the head lights are 24-27 and the head light cross bar didn't come about until 1921 but is a great addition. Not much changed on the screensides from 17-22.Dave
