A trip down Memory Lane

Since it's in the 70's here in Marin (North end of the Golden Gate Bridge) I thought I would bring Eleanor (my 1932 Buick 8-86) out for a drive and stopped by a friends ranch where he stores his collection of automobilia. He has everything ever made for every year, make and model of car. Including toys from the early years. Looking up all you see are planes and airships overhead. Thought it might be fun to share a fraction of his collection.

I remember the blue cop on the motorcycle and have had some of the cars right below it....Dinky Toys I think. Anyway, I am 76 and was playing with cars by the time I was three. Yet, I saw very few of these kinds of toys. A cousin had one of those iron trucks, and I had the Graham coupe, but by the time I can remember we were into WWII plastic cars with plastic wheels and axles. We did have a lot of hard rubber cars, and I still have some of those, i.e. 1935 Ford coach. This man has a virtual museum, and some day it will make an auction with unfathomable value. Great pictures....thanks

Tell your friend that if the History Channel's "Pickers" from Iowa show up on his doorstep, he should send them away!
