John
1971-1975 convertibles with the "scissors" top mechanism have an optional hard boot that fastens to the interior quarter trim panel with Dzus type fasteners. Does anyone know if these are a standard item, and where to get them other than as part of a complete hardware kit? Really just looking for the half that goes on the trim panel. Guest my3buicks
There is a company that reproduces the hardware kit, I believe you have to buy the entire kit from them though. Only the 72-75 had the option though, not the 71's. Cadillac had it from 71-76. You may want to contact the company direct and see if they will sell items individually, when they first started selling them you could buy just the pins & grommet separately
rocketraider
Racing community uses DZUS fasteners a lot. Check with Summit or the like, or maybe even thru Grainger Supply. As I recall, the vendor wanted a chunk for that hardware kit 20-some years ago when I bought one.
