1917 roadster wiring

In need of info for my 1917 roadster restoration

Ground strap: Did it run out of the back of the battery box and bolt to the frame? Was it a flat braided cable? Gauge? type of metal?

Positive to starter switch: Gauge? length? material?

Starter switch to starter: Gauge? length? material?

What type of terminals did they have?

Is there a source for these materials?

Is there a source for the double clips holding the gas line and armored wire to the frame?

I found Rhode Island wire Company has listings for late 23 wiring cables but I believe they were different

would like to keep as original as possible,

The ground goes to the frame, BUT it would be advisable to attach to the trans also. Contact Myers for the cables.

My '17 Dodge Bros. winter touring was parked in 1937 for inability to find tires to suit the car. I bought it last spring. Photo shows the 70 year old battery that was under the original cover and what I have to presume is the original ground strap running to the frame upper right.

thanks for the pic. Can you tell me if the 2 cutouts in the battery box on transmission side are original or if someone modified it. The box I'm using for a pattern doesn't have them
