TerryB
REO logo has similar wings but has REO in the center of them. Maybe a trucking company logo?Terry B
oldford
Chevrolet used a winged wheel, but I think the wings came out of the hubs, not the tires....Frank
Dave Mellor NJ
This is similar but not exact. It's 637 Sackett Ave possibly in Brooklyn.
trimacar
The winged wheel was a relatively common symbol in the early days of motoring. Pierce Arrow used it also, but the Pierce emblem has wings that are folded along the side. One interesting thing to note is the first picture seems to represent a tire on a non-demountable rim, while the second picture shows the lugs for a demountable. If the "artist" was being true to the times, I'd date the first logo at 1912 or prior, the second photo as post 1912, more or less when demountable rims became more available. roysboystoys
Thanks for the responses so far. Dave Mellor's photo gets me to thinking it might be a Tire store sign ?Maybe some sign makers just copying someone elses work?

30DodgePanel
Could be mistaking but I thought I seen a similar logo when doing some research on Motor Wheel or Kelsey Hayes a couple of years back.
