Searching for documentation on the correct torque spec for tightening the wire wheel lug nuts for a 1935 Chevy Standard.

Anybody know the correct torque?

Thanks

I am not sure about other manufactures of the era, but I have never seen a torque spec for lug nuts on Chevrolets made in the 30s or earlier in any of my Chevrolet maintenance literature for this time period.

Personally I have never used a torque wrench on any lug nuts for any of my cars. I have never had any issues and could not tell you what I tighten them to.

Thanks, I'm sure I'll be OK with using a "X cross" lug wrench (the one with the standard 4 lug nut sizes) and just snug them up hand tight without using excessive force.

Checking them periodically would also be a good idea.

Thanks

Torque small car nuts to about 85-90 mid size 90 -100 full sizecars and 1/2 t trucks 100-110 and heavy pickups to about 120-125

I would consider yours full size

and grease those studs!!
