Guest Posted January 23, 2015 Share Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) I hunted/searched for a "Mechanics Universal Joint" for my Pontiac for fourty years. Finally I took my driveshaft in to a shop and had them cut the old joints out and install regular Spicer Joints. Not original but smooth quiet and easy to repair/replace. I wanted to have my original trunions bored out and bushed but the machine shop said the material was too hard to work with. Changing the joints was simpler.I wish you luck in your search but just thought I would suggest an alternative. I was really hoping to find one and put it in and be done, then I could rebuild mine whenever I could get to it. From the sounds of it I need to back my ears and go ahead and rebuild mine and my spares. Tinindian, I never got any manual page copies from you. Not sure where we aren't connecting!
