Jim Bollman
A friend gave me a pair of these caps after failing to identify or sell them at Hershey for a few years. I plan to use them in a project that will ruin them as usable hub caps and wanted to be sure I wasn't destroying some super rare caps that someone needed for their car. They are 10 inches in diameter and resemble a 38 Ford cap in shape just smaller, which has made a few people guess some English Ford use. There is nothing written on the cap, what you see in the picture is just reflections.Any guesses. Ozstatman
"a few people guess some English Ford use"Very possible. Have a look at the images in the wikipedia link below. Some hubcaps have a Ford script, others do not.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Prefect
Jim Bollman
Thanks Mal, from the pictures I think you're right, if the cap size is right. Probably a rare cap in the USA since not many Prefects made it here and few have survived without being made into dragsters and funny cars. Probably easier to find in countries that had more around. Not planning my destructive project till Spring so if no one begs me to preserve them by then, I will go forward.
