Guest 51Pontiac
If your car has the Pontiac 239 flat head six then it's the same as the American Pontiac's. Because the clutch disk, pressure plate and thowout bearing look just like the one that is in mine and it has the factory 239 flat head six. Are there any part numbers on them? Rusty_OToole
Why don't you go down to the local NAPA store and buy them?
Guest rickman
I was just there and they told me they can only get 9 1/8" which is chevy!
dictator27
Don't go to a big auto parts store like NAPA for old car stuff. They aren't interested. I go to a little local outfit that has just three stores for Studebaker stuff. They take the time to hunt for whatever is needed. Have you investigated having your existing clutch and pressure plate rebuilt?Terry
Guest rickman
Yes I was at a place called KC Auto Parts today in St.catharines and they have somone in Toronto that will rebuild.
Rusty_OToole
The parts are available if you can find a counterman who knows how to find the part numbers. Is there an old dusty parts store in your area with an old gray haired or bald headed counter man? The kind of place the local farmers shop. dictator27
It's amazing how many of the (young) keyboard jockeys in big name auto parts stores don't know how to read a parts book.Terry
