mbenseignant@gmail.com
Unit shown in pic may be from a 1925 Cadillac. Were these motors sometimes mounted on the outside of the car? The wiper shaft is much too short to extend through the windshield frame from the interior of the car. Where was the on/off switch? Many thanks, Mike BarnesVancouver, B.C., Canada
rsb
Yes, my 28 Chevy wiper motor is mounted on the outside. The vacuum switch/valve is on the instrument panel. Other body styles such as the cabriolet had the motor mounted on the inside with the shaft extending through the windshield frame. The on/off switch was on the motor itself.Perhaps it was dependent on whether the windshield was a roll-up or a push-out type?
