Lahti35
Does anybody know what kind of body style this truck has? The rear is unlike what I typically see 1939-47.
keiser31
Never seen a utility body like that except for a photo of a similar one from 1938. I LIKE it!!

Lahti35
My thoughts exactly... Ute came to mind as soon as I saw the picture but its located here in the US... and it was a truck to begin with already... strange. 1939_Buick
To me looks like weld marks on the back behind the doors & on the roof. Was a van made in this style? Is a nice looking pick up / (Aussie ute).
jpage
I'm pretty sure that it's a cut down panel truck. The panel truck doors have the squared upper rear corners but the p/u's have rounded rear upper corners. Also appears as if someone welded in the rear upper cab corners and a rear window section from a sedan. If it was factory made I would expect the end gate to carry the Dodge logo. vintchry
It also looks like a wrecker body, some were pretty dressed up, tho the tailgate is not normal. Would make a great looking truck done. Rob

DLynskey
Whatever it is it looks like it was professionally done. Some dealers had these made for service vehicles and high-end merchants often had custom pickups.Don
30DodgePanel
To me looks like weld marks on the back behind the doors & on the roof.Weld marks are very possible but for what ? I also wonder if it may have been the location of where a camper shell would have rested for years ? Either way, I love the look.Lahti35, do you have access to this truck or is it something you found on the internet ?
Lahti35
I found it on the net while looking for some dodge trucks.Cut down panel looks like it might be right on the money, crazy somebody would do that, must have needed a truck! 30DodgePanel
IF it was cut down in order to create a truck, then they sure did a good job on it regardless...
