TexRiv_63
I need to confirm year of use for these parts. The Instrument cluster and glovebox door were marked as from a 1950 Imperial, is that correct? I don't have a clue on the Desoto speaker grille. Thanks as always. Fleek
The Chrysler cluster is from 1950, but I think it also fits some models besides the Imperial. The Desoto part is for 1940 only I think.
TexRiv_63
Thanks. Doesn't the crown emblem at the top of the cluster signify Imperial?
keiser31
Thanks. Doesn't the crown emblem at the top of the cluster signify Imperial?Yes.
Fleek
Hate to disagree with Keiser. He knows Chrysler products better than most, but looking at a lot of pics, I see the crown in that location on the Windsors and New Yorkers. I think the crown was on all 1950 Chrysler speedometers. There are variations in the coloring on some of the faces but the crown seems consistant. The closest one I saw to this one was on a 51 New Yorker. keiser31
Yep....Fleek is correct. The main indicator on the 1951-52 Chrysler Imperial is the wheel cover crown. The dashboard instruments seem to be the same as the other model Chryslers.

c49er
That instrument/speedo cluster is from a 1949 eight cylinder Chrysler only. It has orange/red gauge needles and a 110 MPH speedo all only on 1949 Chryslers. The 110 speedo is used only on the straight "8" cars.Could be from a NewYorker or a T&C convert.Doubt it's from a imperial as production is so low compared to the other eight cylinder line cars. The crown is used on all chrysler speedo clusters to 1953.Bob Edited January 20, 2015 by c49er spelling (see edit history)
