Guest ReattaFan
I have a 1990 Reatta convertible. The driver's side pin that holds the top down in the back (thru the teannou) has sheared off. I'm hesitant to pop the top loose during this cold weather as it will be hard to get it closed with just the right pin. I'm looking for information:Is the pin available? Is it bolted to the frame of the top?Anything you could tell me would be helpful. The dealers don't have any views of this in their database. Thanks, Bill
Barney Eaton
The pin is threaded so it can be adjusted in and out. Someone may know the answer, but I guess it may be the same as a Corvette....I cannot believe that GM would create a new part number for that function.American Sunroof designed and built the top....you might call them and ask for technical help. The 1990 is different than the 1991 pin. My Reatta parts book has part # 3635162 but I don't know if that is the '90 or '91 pin....the book says it is for both years. For some reason I think #3635166 is for the '91Look at this...... http://www.mamotorworks.com/Corvette/newsearch.aspx?S=pins,%20convertible%20top%20rear%20guide&Y=&G=C3&C= Edited December 2, 2014 by Barney Eaton (see edit history)
Guest my3buicks
Surely Marck or Jim or one of the other vendors would have a used spare pin available.
Booreatta
I have an issue with one of mine also I did some checking last summer and didn't have a lot of luck. Not many convertibles being scrapped. I finally got mine straightened out and stopped looking. I would purchase one if it showed up.
NCReatta
I have an entire box full of pins. We also have 5 convertible top assemblies should you need any other parts off of them.
