Guest GregZ
Hi All,I took apart the rear of my transmission (pulled the entire rear suspension to fix a leak there as well) as I had a leaking torque ball (leaked a quart into the torque tube, and probably more to the outside). I know many of you had good luck with bobsautomobilia retainers and I read that the one from cars, inc (oldbuickparts) may have transmission fluid compatibility issues. Has anyone tried the seal kit from classictransmissionsolutions ? It does not look as if it was the same as cars' retainer. Please let me know. here is the link: (hopefully it is OK to post)http://www.classictransmissionsolutions.com/buick-dynaflow-torque-ball-stop-leak-sealing-kit-retainer-1953-60-transmission-always-free-shipping/Greg1959 Buick LeSabre 4D
buick man
Greg: I will give you a helping hand here since no one else has come forward. Try this link. David Edwards no doubt has what you will need:http://www.autotran.us/dfparts1.html Good luck and let us hear from you as to how things turn out. Guest GregZ
Thanks a bunch. I've already ordered the other one and have installed it. Now wire brushing and applying POR15 (will take a while) .
