Leif Holmberg
I got more photos from the Photohistorical Society and I thought this was a 1917 Buick but I think I`m wrong?Any idea what it`s.Leif in Sweden.
Larry Schramm
I am thinking that you might be right. The hub caps seem to be Buick and if I was guessing, I would put it at a 1918 because of the curved fenders and seems to be a D-45 but may be the smaller D-35. Leif Holmberg
Larry. One of things that confuse me are the rear end with a 3/4 elliptic spring? And also that the body seems to long for a D35? When looking closer to the dash in the second photo it looks strange to me with this curved panel.Leif in Sweden. nzcarnerd
Yes the three quarter rear springs say it is not a Buick. I think it is an Oakland. either 1916 or 1917 because, as far as I can work out the 1918 models had a right angle at the bottom corner of the windshield. . Layden B
Yes it is a 1916 Oakland. Looks a lot like the 1917, but the 1917 has way different rear shackles & spring. The 1918 windshield has lot of slant to it instead of being straight.
