Guest Executivekev
I sent out my carburetor for rebuild. After installing I am having a problem with the idle. All ignition components have been replaced. I have to pull the throttle knob on the dashboard pretty far out to keep the car running. The idle screw is all the way in and I have played with the mixture screw. At the bottom of the carb is a small L shaped rod with threads on it.Does this have to be altered or should I leave this alone.
Vila
I have never worked on the 1931 Chevrolet updraft carburetor, but maybe the attached website will provide the information you are looking for. The 1925 to 1931 pages provide some information on adjusting you carburetor.http://old-carburetors.com/Chevy.htmVila1933 Chevrolet1962 Triumph TR41984 BMW 633 CSi
carbking
There is no "L-shaped rod" at the bottom of the original Carter 150s carb. What carburetor do you have?Jon.
