Fancy old Ivory knob with chrome trim

I bought some small stuff while at Hershey a couple of years ago and this has been staring at me ever since. The great website I used to use for dash photos decided to eliminate photos of whole dashes from it's site as they are easy to just google (not realizing that's only good if you know exactly which dash you are looking for and not actually just looking through a decade of dashes for odd things like this knob). Since I'm not even sure where to start, my guess is 1940's - 1955. Make I'm not sure. There are no usable numbers on it. It's held in place with a set crew. It doesn't look to be threaded. I would call it average size similar ot most common dash knobs. Any guesses?

The knob was used on all 47-48 Frazer cars equipped with the non-push button radio. The 47-50 Kaiser radio knob is similar except that it does not have the trim ring.
