Guest U.P. Oakland
I am building the center bar for a '29 Oakland sport Roadster now. It is spring steel. Do you have a spring shop in your area? Most spring shops can get the spring steal in the width, length, and thickness you need. Then shape the arch of the steel to your sample (assuming you have one) then roll the eyes on the ends. Then just send it off to be plated.

Guest U.P. Oakland
They should be able to order the spring steel in the length they need. That's what I had to do.

Guest U.P. Oakland
I made mine. I made the dies to press the center and had the local spring shop roll the eyes and arch the sweep. All I have left to do is grind the eyes to the correct width. I can post pictures if you are interested.
