What is this 1924 Touring Car worth?

Unless it is a rare car, I would be reluctant to line a dealer's pockets. It is not unusual over here for dealers to expect to double what they paid. The only benefit I can see for going through a dealer is when they can offer a warranty, so not relevant with a not very rare antique car . Private sale no come back, hence usually a lower price.

Correct?

Yes, this would come with no warranty but you are right, you are paying the dealer a handsome prophit. I was thing it's worth about $5k but not much more...since I'd have to go haul it home....and it is about 8 hrs from me.....and my Raptor gets about 12 mpg......about 9 mpg wheel pulling a trailer.

and add on your hourly rate x 16....plus motel etc.

It begins to look less attractive.... and that's before you start spending cash restoring it!
