rocky5517
Just spoke to the owner of the 64 that's listed on Craiglist for $12,500 in Bayonne NJ. Turns out he knew my father; a legit guy- bought it from a friend and never uses it much. Says he drives it every so often ( note he doesn't have collector plates, which means car passes tough NJ inspection rules. Sounds like he's willing to make a deal; if anyone is interested I'll take a ride- 5 miles from my office.

MrEarl
Does the seller not have pictures he can share?
VickyBlue
Does the seller not have pictures he can share?I was wondering if Rocky would be able to snap a few and post them here, if it's not too much to ask...
RivNut
Caveat emptor if that is the car and the ad is correct. ALL 1964 Riviera came equipped with the 425 cubic inch engine. The correct original air cleaner would have a "Wildcat 465" decal on it.Ed
rocky5517
Hi GuysThe listing Mr Earl and Vicky Blue reference is indeed the car, except when I pulled it up yesterday there were several good pix, as Ed notes. Suggest you look again, and I'll try to get over to the guy's house within the next few days. Car is charcoal grey and has 91,000 on the speedo.Sam from Jersey
RivNut
Hi Guys. Car is charcoal grey and has 91,000 on the speedo. Sam from JerseyAlready brings questions to mind. No charcoal color in '64, only silver. Now's the time to do your research, not after you bring it home.Ed
MrEarl
The link in my post above is not showing the car, at least not on my screen. I have done a new search and tried newer links but still no pics.

48Super
I believe this is the car:http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/buick/riviera/1652640.html#PhotoSwipe1416659174832
RivNut
Reminds me of the Lovn' Spoonful's song "Hot time summer in the city, back 'o my neck's gettin' dirty and gritty." Translation: No Air Conditioning.
VickyBlue
Mike can take care of that... Right Mike? I like it... It is the kind of car where an aftermarket A/C would blend in perfectly and I wouldn't have any second thoughts about originality, especially with all the cool finned aluminum in the engine bay.
