Guest jroemer
Hello good people of the AACA Forum,I'm hoping someone might know the year/make/model of the automobile in this photo? (FYI - my grandparents are the subjects)Thank you very much for taking a moment to help me with this question!-Jim

Guest jroemer
Definitely got me pointed in the right direction. Perhaps a 32 Buick? See Link.http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/8a/27/da/8a27dabc689daffbf68b528d76e3e6c9.jpg

Dave Mellor NJ
I think it's a 33 Chevy. Not only does it have the correct handles, the 1/4 window has a chrome framed vent window as can be seen on the subject car on the far side.
Guest jroemer
Here's another look at a 33 Chevy. http://www.antiquesnavigator.com/ebay/images/2011/160524859440.jpg I think that's it. Not being very knowledgeable on these older model autos, I find it amazing how similar these design elements are from one maker to the next!By the way, this is the first time I've visited this forum. You guys are the best! I'm doing some research for my mom re: her parents -- sentimental stuff. So your responsiveness is greatly appreciated. A big thanks to you all. Dave Henderson
Most likely a Chevy, but could be a '34 vs. '33. I believe Pontiac and Olds of those years shared the body too.

I believe Pontiac and Olds of those years shared the body too.The photos I can find show different door handles for all 1934 cars and the 1933 Olds. Car is most likely either a 1933 Chevy or Pontiac. Dave Mellor NJ
Due to the fact that there were so many Chevyies it's reasonable to assume that's what it is. Here's a Pontiac.
