Beltfed
Under both front fenders of my 38 Zephyr there is a bracket with a key hole in it (see pic). What are they for?
Ken/Alabama
The front fender brace attaches to it
Beltfed
What front fender brace? I guess something else the PO decided didn't need to be on the car. Anyone know where the other end attaches? Any pic of what I'm going to have to make? Thanks
Phil Knapp
Attached is a photo of part of the left front fender brace, next to my concealed power brake booster.
Beltfed
The bracket in question is mounted to the front of the fender, you can see the headlight bucket in my photo. Your pic looks to me like it is taken looking rearward where I do have a fender brace. Is this correct? If so, the question remains...what does this bracket do? See pic below. Guest 65Starfire
Here is a pic of the front bracket off of the car. (On its way to be blasted and powder coated.)

abelincoln
I've got one on the 48 that looks like it might support the vacuum operated radio antenna, which of course is missing, but left a few rubber lines under the dash. Don't know if that was an option for '38, but could have been added by a previous owner.Abe
