47 Chrysler vin question

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a 47 Windsor club coupe, I was trying to break down the vin # and the engine #. Anyway I am confused with the vin # it states it is 70713123 and is stamped with that number between the door. As I read the info on the vin numbers that number comes up as a 49 Chrysler. Am I missing something here ? The car has clear paperwork and the last owner had and drove the car on and off for 8 years. Pretty sure what you guys are going to say but I have to check.......... Thanks guys !
