Guest rossfarr
Hi,Can anyone help me identify the manufacturer of this winged cap and the car it is designed for? The wings are very detailed on both sides and are angled upward as if full flight. The threads are, as far as I can tell, 1 7/8" - 14. Can anyone help? They Boyce motometer is not part of it. I just put it in for reference. Thanks
keiser31
Looks to be an aftermarket cap (wings) with a Buick Motometer on top.
Guest rossfarr
Thanks keiser31. I put the meter in the photos for reference. I'm trying to figure out what car it was made for. The wings are aftermarket but they are made to spin onto a radiator neck with a 1 7/8 - 14 thread. Do you have any idea what car would have that neck size? I would also love to know who made the piece.
Larry Schramm
You might move this question to the What is it? thread about 10 above this one to get better views.

Guest mikeburch
I think that the 1928 Chrysler has the 1 7/8" diameter radiator cap, along with others.mikeburch
