Wanted: front and rear engine mount plates from 1929-32 Dictator 8 or Commander 8

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for front and rear engine mount plates from a 221 or 250 cu in straight 8 engine, 1929-32. The front one (models FC, FD, 61, 62, 70, 71) is cast, the rear one (models FC, FD, 61, 70 and early 62 and 71 cars) is a flat plate with two right-angle brackets riveted on. These were used to mount the engine directly to the frame rails. The rear plate is between the block and bell housing. They should look like the ones on this 1929 Commander 8. What have you got?

Bob:

The rear one requires that the bell housing and flywheel be removed. The front one probably requires that the front pulley and vibration damper be pulled. I guess I was hoping that someone already had an engine apart.
