1930scott Posted November 4, 2014 Share Posted November 4, 2014 Hi i am about to remove the convertor from the dyna flow on my 1957 and the manual says to use tool j5806 to slide the stator on to it.is it neccasary to use this tool? is there somthink that will do its job? do you have a picture or dimensions for this tool. TexasJohn55 Posted November 4, 2014 Share Posted November 4, 2014 The tool is to hold the sprag rollers in place. I successfully removed and installed my '55 without any problems without a tool. If jarred or shaken, the rollers will fall out and need to be put back in place. Be gentle, you may not need a tool, rotate it gently while sliding off.
