Guest JPromo
Hello again, a few more things I could use some help on. I checked dashboard shots of every year Chevy I thought this could be, so I'm thinking it's a rear seat tray, maybe 46-48?Brake lever patent dates it to the early-mid 30s.Brackets, I have no idea. I think they're light brackets of some variety, or?Any help appreciated as always. And anything I post is always available if you see anything you could use. Dave Mellor NJ
The lever looks like Model A early 29 through end of production although it should be plated.
Guest JPromo
Thanks, that definitely looks to be a match. This one shows no signs of having ever been plated though.

Guest JPromo
Although it is similair, I don't believe it is a Model "A" FORD brake lever. Here is an original, mid 1928 to mid 1929 FORD brake lever that I have.I've seen ones with the ratchet bracket that matched mine perfectly, but you're right in that I haven't seen any examples that have the bent angle that mine has. The search continues. Thanks! Edited November 4, 2014 by JPromo (see edit history)
Guest JPromo
Found it. I'm thinking 40s into the early 50s Dodge truck or COE, just using primitive but functional technology.

Dave Mellor NJ
I was talking about the later A handle with the two holes but it's true that the A handle is straight.
