I'm trying to identify this part for a friend. Close as I can find from googling around is that it's an antique auto coil, but the only other one I found so far that's even close doesn't have that plug-in jack. So what is this thing? What does the jack plug into?

It's an Atwater-Kent ignition coil, ca. 1917-20. Used on Franklins and likely others. Is it for sale?

Wonderful, thanks for the info! For sale? Possibly, I'll check with the owner.

P.S. Just out of curiosity, what does the jack plug into?
