I dunno. Pretty hard to make the thing look right with the back edge of the old roof kicking up just in front of the trunk lid. What would Bill Mitchell say? To me, the roofline is one of the best designs ever to come out of GM. Without a roof, it seems like less of a car. When I was in college, a couple of my buddies and I bought a running, but clapped out 68 Ford Country Squire wagon for $250. Green, fake wood, 390 4 barrel and a 9" rear. We cut the roof off with a Sawzall and made it the biggest convertible ever. It was a great car, for about two months. After a while, the doors wouldn't open, then the driveshaft started rubbing on the transmission hump. It was wanting to subdivide into two cars. Sold it to a junkyard for, you guessed it $250. They wanted the 390 and the 9". Best car purchase I ever made. PRL
