Kenneth Stewart
It does run very nice. The motor came out of a early 53 dump truck. Its bored out and has 454 Chevy vales, 3/4 cam, dual carbs and a split exhaust stock mufflers. It also has a high speed rear end 35?. Its a nice car to drive. Any of you fellows ever build anything like this?
Guest OSCARFLEET
Hi Kenneth, I haven't built anything like this but I know a lot of the period hot rodders talk about the "jimmy" engine swaps from back in the day. Its my understanding that they're not identical blocks to the 216 & 235 Chevy motors but again I don't know much about them. It would be a fun ride regardless. WireWheel
There were lots of GMC Six Cylinder engines put in Chevrolet Stock Cars back in the late 40s and early 50s.
