Does anyone know what material was used between the wood and the inner body to protect the body from scrapping. There is a possibility nothing was used, but I am nearing the stage where I will be assembling the new wood and would rather know before its too late.

Thanks. Marv

Marv, they also used this material as a shim in order to align the body to the frame. If your doors do not line up correctly you will have to add material in order to slightly bend the body into alignment so they will close correctly. It is a trial and error type of effort. Also you have to be careful in tightening the body to the frame, if too tight the bolts may cause a misalignment.
