keiser31
Are you referring to the center piece on the front bumper?
pont35cpe
No sir, you`re referring to the medallion. The guard I`m looking for is a solid chunk of cast steel that mounts on the backside of the bumper approx. 11" to each side of the medallion and extends above and below the bumper. The front is notched for the bumper to sit in flush. The top extends 3" above the bumper and has a "simulated"(only way I can describe) head and feather which is approx. 4" long horizonally, bottom extends 2 1/4" below bumper and is kind of a "Y" shaped spike. There is also another notch in the center of the bumper notch for the bumper arm, bumper bolt passes thru the bumper, bumper arm, and guard which sandwiches the three together. Guard is approx. 9 3/4" tall. I know a picture would be best and will see if I can get one and post it. Tom
Dave Mellor NJ
Here's a bumper guard but it's not what you describe.
Curti
Isn't the triangular piece with the flags after market?
pont35cpe
Curt and Dave, I think you`re referring to the grill guard.. and yes I think that is an after market item.. I stated earlier that the bumper guard was cast steel but I think it is actually forged steel. Tom
joespoolhall
I think I have a picture of the bumper guards from a Pontiac sales brochure . . . . they were attached to the back of the bumper. so as a guard they would have been pretty ineffective, but they looked great . . . . .
