Guest bobgould
Does anyone no which way curved snap ring is installed next to the throughout bearing coller or does it matter?
1939_Buick
I thinks Bob's car is a 1939 66S, so has large transmission.Have seen these for sale on ebayBob: you can join the '39 Buick team (which exists only here on the forum)Edit: Which part. Image is for 1940 and later, but is about the same for 1939 S60 80 90 pg 108-A Edited October 18, 2014 by 1939_buick (see edit history)
danhar1960
The part Bob is referring to is not in the picture. It sits behind the throw-out carrier against the input shaft bearing. It pre-loads the bearing on the input shaft. Don't think it matters, as long as it's there, it will do the job either way.Danny
