WTB. Hubcaps for Stephens

Recommended Posts

Looking for hubcaps for my Stephens Salient Six.

The hubcaps are made of aluminium. There are at least three different types that will fit: Pressed aluminium, casted aluminium and a third version with a riveted faceplate.

The inner diameter is around 73 millimetres from thread to thread

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate that but I prefer the original aluminium caps. As a Swede I am no expert on these Stephens cars but my guess is that your mushroom shaped cap was introduced in 1922 when the car was slightly modified. I think the inner diameter is less than 73 mm. The Stephens cars were produced 1917-1924 by the Stephens Motor Works in Freeport, Illinois . The company was funded by the Moline Plow that until now had produced agricultural equipment. No assembly line and the cars were built by hand. As a result they became rather expensive but despite the fact around 25000 cars were sold and about 100 cars reached Sweden. My Stephens is the only survivor. But you can take your caliper and check the inner diameter of your cap. Let me know the result!
