beardbros
I have a 1973 Eldorado for sale. It is a nice low mile driver. It only has 36000 miles on it. Everything works, except the A/C needs a charge, and it has never been in a wreck. I got it from the second owner who bought it with 1000 miles on it in 1973. It has all the paperwork and nothing is missing from the car. The convertible top is a little tattered at the seams and the cars paint has scratches, chips and some checking along with a little rust down low on a couple areas. It runs good, here is a list of things we did. New shocks all around, exhaust manifold gaskets, rebuilt the carburetor, rebuilt the brake system, plugs, points, wires, cap, rotor, tires, replaced all the plastic items that usually are crumbled away on the front and rear exterior and detailed the car. I am asking $8900 OBO for it. Call Jim at 815-252-7247 calls only, I will not respond to texts Here is a link to all the pictures - https://www.flickr.com/photos/71673757@N03/sets/72157648096313209/
John_S_in_Penna
Looks like a nice car! I owned one several years ago,and they are comfortable highway cruisers. And theone-year-only taillights look best this year, in my opinion. With gasoline prices coming down, its gas usagewill be more affordable too! beardbros
Thanks John! It is a great car for cruising, I know I am going to regret selling it but I have other projects that need funding. It is up on Ebay right now - http://www.ebay.com/itm/291269609798?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
John_S_in_Penna
Congratulations! It looks like your Eldorado sold promptly on Ebay for $9100--for even a bit more than your asking price here.
beardbros
Yes, pleasantly surprised. It is heading out for a little cosmetic work and then going into a collection. Found a good home for it.

John_S_in_Penna
After a lot of observation, I think that, despite a buyer's marketfor most models, nice cars sell readily when their asking prices are reasonable. But there are still plenty of optimistic sellers out there with high asking prices, and those cars you can find still for sale months and months later.I admire those '73 Eldorados! Your sale is a textbook example of how to sellin a slow market. Edited November 2, 2014 by John_S_in_Penna (see edit history)
