SOLD SOLD SOLDThis c.1912 Model T Jitney Bus is from a prominent Detroit area collection. It has been on display the last twenty years in a museum type setting and used occasionally for parades and special events. We got it out today, added a new battery, some fresh gas and fluids and it started right up and runs well. It has a 1920s-era Model T engine with starter and generator, a 1926/27 transmission, demountable wheels and a large drum rear end-all the components you would want for a good, reliable driving Model T. It has a full set of matching, all brass, E and J headlamps, sidelamps and taillamp, Rubes bulb horn, a brass folding windshield and steering wheel. The paint has some age to it but it has a really good look to it and presents extremely well. The chassis could use a good cleaning but is painted and generally clean. The wood body has a rear entry door and side seating for about 6 adults. The body construction is extremely nice with a proper wood-slatted top and windows all the way around. Mechanically, it could use a good servicing. The engine sounds fine and starts easily. It runs well on both battery and magneto. The transmission shifts smoot, the rear end is quiet and the tires look good. The radiator is a reproduction flat tube radiator and still looks excellent. This is a really neat looking and different Model T that will certainly be a hit at any show or tour. The price is a reasonable 15,000.00 and the car is located in Ann Arbor, MI.
