Can someone with a parts book check to see what the p/n's are for the left and right door handles for a 1953 Skylark? I may have a chance to pick up a pair. The p/n's for the ones I may be able to acquire are T-20073 T-20072 . I have only seen a picture of the ones available, and my old ones are unavailable at this time.

Any help would be appreciated! icon7.png

Thanks, Michael

The numbers you reference are casting numbers.....part numbers are seven digits. Do you know what year and model of Buick they came off of?

Knowing the year and model, my Parts Book would have the answer. Otherwise, I would have to check my parts warehouse for Skylark handle casting numbers.

Hi Al,

The guy has listed them for a 1953 Buick Special and gives those numbers as the part numbers. I have sent an email asking if if there are any other numbers, and I am waiting to hear back from him. I figure that they should also fit the bigger body 53's, but wanted to make sure. If I hear from him, I'll post the answer here.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate you trying to help.

1953 SPECIAL series door handles don't interchange with 1953 SUPER/ROADMASTER series according to the Buick Parts Book. Plenty of other options to pick from.

Wow, thanks for letting me know. Looking at the pictures of the pair he has, and comparing them to my handles (I found my old pitted ones), I was pretty sure they were the same. Had I bought them, that would have been wasted money for sure. Thanks, Al! - Michael
