Guest kaycee
Hi, Tinindian, I'm looking for a source for metal running board strips for a '28 Pontiac. Any ideas? Thanks! kaycee:)
Guest
If you mean the moulding on the outside edge I have not seen any like my original ones. However I have used a piece of aluminum that carpet layers use as an edge when the carpet abuts tiles. The contour is different but the width matched my original. The aluminum can be buffed to quite a shine. I imagine you could have the brass ones nickel plated. Mounted with countersunk oval head screws it is an attractive edge. Not perfect but will do until and original can be found. There was a person that advertised mouldings for a 32 in the POCI magazine a while back. I was sure they would not be long enough and knew that they would still be incorrect for my car.

Guest
KayceeLook up L&L Auto Trim on the internet. Check their running board moulding catalogue. There are illustrations. The one shown for my Pontiac is exactly as the original. So I assume the ones for yours would also be correct.Reid
