zuodar
I was going to check my headlight bulb on a 1937 dodge d-5 . I got the headlight lens off okay but then the reflector assembly gave me fits. It has 3 L shaped brackets that are on springs that have to fit into slots in the teardrop headlight case. I can get two of the brackets into the slots but never the third. Id there some trick with this or a special tool needed?thanks zuodar1937 d-5 dodge 0wner
atlbluz
I just rewired my lights on my P-6 Plymouth and had the same problem. I found that the best thing was patience and a little white grease on the spring and brackets. They just seemed to bind enough to keep all three from engaging. It took about 20 -30 minutes to get the problem one in. Also I didn't do this but maybe a good cleaning of the mating surfaces might help also. BTW if you need I have modern cut gasket for the rite way reflectors.Greg
