1946 BUICK OWNERS, ????

I have often wondered how many 46 Buick hood ornaments WITHOUT the heavy CROSS BAR there are still in use?

I know many where broken, and even stolen, then Buick reworked it with the heavy cross bar, so does your 46 have one WITHOUT the cross bar?

Please tell me WHICH ornament your car has, WITH or WITHOUT the cross bar?.

I know of a '46 Special with the original and my '47 Roadmaster has the original without the cross bar. 1948 was the first year with the cross bar from the factory. Replacements all had the cross bar.

Good to know, for some reason I had always thought the cross bar was added late in 47.

I know at swap meets you just don't find any WITHOUT the cross bar.
