STAYGOLD
Hello, Looking for some information on this what I believe to be a NOS Full-Size Spare Tire. The steel rim is mounted on a Goodyear Power Streak II White Wall Tire that appears to be brand new. The steel rim is a 15" rim with a 4 1/2" x 5 lug bolt pattern. There are several stampings in the rim itself, but I don't know how to decode them.Any ideas? Grandpa
The wheel looks like 1955 Buick. The tire is newer, circa 1970s.Grandpa
Guest Commodore
This rim is not for a 1955 Biuck. The Department of Transportation (DOT) was not established then. The code DOT 11 14 K24 decodes as 11 = November 14 = Day of the mouth K = Kelsey Hayes 2 = Plant Number 4 = Year (1974?) I think.See photo
